A huge victory for our #SmokefreeUK campaign!

A smokefree generation in the UK is now a huge step closer! Following previous successful campaigns to prevent smoking in indoor public places and branded cigarette packaging, we first launched the #SmokefreeUK campaign in 2022. Now, just under four years later, the UK Government has introduced the historic Tobacco and Vapes Act, which will prohibit the sale of tobacco products in the UK to anyone born on or after 1 January 2009. The passing of this new law is a huge win for us all and we wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has helped make this happen. From our partner organisations and volunteer campaigners to the thousands of you who signed our petitions and contacted your MPs, this win belongs to all of us.
